Awesome week

We have had an awesome week in Kindergarten. We finished up our learning on insects and pair
shared with each other what we learned.

We supported Juvenile Diabetes by purchasing "tennis shoes", popcorn and wore hats. I am so proud of each students for the donations made to such a good cause.

On Friday, the leprechaun came and visited our classroom. While we tried to trap him he made it in while we were at lunch and messed up our classroom pretty bad. Here are a few pictures of the damage he did.

Slacker!

Ok so I have been a slacker when it comes to posting on the blog. That does not mean we have not done some amazing things in Kindergarten.

Since I left off we have been learning about our heritage and have had a wonderful learning experience from all of our posters. I am willing to try any of the food you all posted. :)

We had a few Flat students come in and have been sharing all about their travels across the United States and other countries.

We celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday by dressing as twins, book characters and doing our silent reading with flashlights.

We painted and labeled each of our seven continents. Ask your child what they are and where they are located. They should be able to tell you or at least sing you a song about them.

Finally bringing you up to date this week. We had an amazing Drum Day sponsored by PTO and all of the Box Tops you have been sending in. Buster the Bus came today and taught us all about bus safety. We completed our first STEAM rotation on insects and the students really enjoyed it and held some meal worms. At the end of the day we finished it with a bang and had a tornado drill.
